(Chicago, July 2023):

For the first time in forty years the Martin’s International produced annual Chicago Music Awards (CMA) will be held at the end of the summer, moving away from the unpredictable Winter months that have been affecting the outdoor red carpet celebrity showcase in most cases over the years.

The 41st hosting of the Chicago Music Awards, the only event that honors Chicagoland entertainers in all music genres is now set for Saturday, September 30th, 2023, at the Harold Washington Cultural Center, 4701 South Martin Luther King Drive, Chicago, Illinois.  The judging period for the best of Chicagoland entertainers, is now January 1st, 2022, through June 1st, 2023. Experts in the music industry had officially started their submissions from June 1st and will continue through August 10th, 2023. The public/fans voting to select the winners in all the nominated categories will start on August 15th to September 15th, 2023.

This year Martin’s International introduces a special contest, the Best Chicago Music Awards Song – 2023. The criteria include, what the Chicago Music Awards event has been doing for the Chicagoland music industry over the last forty years, and the contestants must submit a two minute song in MP4  format to Chicagomusicawards@gmail.com with “CMA Contest” in the subject line. All contestants must subscribe to www.YouTube.com/IRAWMA,  and the finalists and ultimate winner will be determined by YouTube.com/irawma subscribers. The winner will receive an Award and cash prize. The submission deadline is August 31st, 2023, and the finalists will be announced in the first week of September.

On September 30th, the Red Carpet arrival and VIP Reception for celebrities, nominees, performers, presenters, and VIP ticketholders starts at 6:00pm and the Awards showcase at 7pm.
